"Savvy" started his show career in Sept 2006 and won points his first weekend out. This indicated to me that he would do alright when it came time for him to get serious in the ring. At the same time, I had another long coat male I wanted to finish as well. And it proved too much for me to show two male long coats at the same time and pretty much defeated my purpose in showing. In this time, I kept Savvy out of the show ring as not to compete with the other male. I allowed the other male to go out with a handler as it cost half of what it costs me to show myself and with gas prices as they are, you really have to budget getting a dog finished nowadays. After bringing Cole home, Savvy's first weekend out since 2006, proved a long awaited success! He took RWD on Saturday at the Richmond shows and WD/BOW for a nice 4 point major on Sunday. Savvy, loves squeaky toys. His sister Sallimae and niece Tessy all have an addiction to them. It's so enjoyable watching them play on the grass, hide them, run with them and play keep away. Just the other day, Dice, Fanny and Lily were all playing tug of war with one very worn out tiny squeaky toy. We now have new generations of plushy addicts in the making! We hope you enjoyed Savvy's page. He currently has 6 points which includes the one major. We are awaiting another show picture and will be adding more photos as he progresses towards his championship ...until then, we will see you at the shows!
